For some reason, the gusto and joy with which I started this holiday season have all but evaporated now. If I do muster up some enthusiasm for baking or doing a little shopping on the internet, I easily get distracted and sidetracked. My goals of going to various holiday events have fallen short - we did make it to two so far. I haven’t even been plugging in our tree’s lights most days - and that’s something that I used to do first thing each morning.

I hope I can get my Christmas spirit back in check soon! I’ve got to get my shopping finished for the kids and get some cookies made for hubby’s party at work.

So, for now, just call me Scrooge.
