Well, it’s officially back to “the old grind” today. Back to the routine of taking kids to school, arranging my day’s errands and activities to fit around Ian’s nap and school pick up time, then sitting in the pick up line at school, making lunches each evening and overseeing homework.

While it’s really not that big of a deal, I have developed a negative attitude about it all for some unknown reason.

I grabbed the bull by the horns last night though and did some advance prep work. I gathered up the kids’ uniforms for the school day, made their lunches, checked their agendas and packed them up in their backpacks. I also researched a quick coffee cake recipe to make this morning to get their morning started off in a special way.

It felt really good to be somewhat ready for this morning. I’m still not sure why I’m mentally not prepared.

I hope I can adjust my attitude.

I’ll be working very hard to adjust my attitude.
