Another day… another problem
My precious Sofie is quite a unique little girl. She is very hard to describe as she is a tough little tomboy but also exhibits girly traits too. She loves playing Star Wars and Legos with Conner and she’s quite the little talent in Taekwondo class. She also enjoys wearing dresses and can be quite the drama queen at times.
Sofie is definitely carrying on her Papaw’s habits of being a people director as well.
You never know what she is going to say either. Often times, her words come out in such a tone of voice that she sounds like the pessimistic Squidward Tentacles character on Spongebob Squarepants. She’s almost like an old lady in a little girl’s clothing.
As we were preparing to leave for school this morning, she got upset because her seatbelt wasn’t stretching out so she could buckle it. I helped her fix it and we were on our way. As I backed out of the garage, she said in her best Squidward tone, “Another day… another problem.”
How true… we all face problems of various sorts and magnitudes each and every day. What’s important is how we handle these problems. I tried to explain that to my munchkins as we drove to school - but I’m not sure that grasped it at all.
But, that “Another day… another problem” comment from my Squidward Sofie will forever be ingrained in my brain.
