Surf Shop Now Open
I have a little chubby butler figurine that holds a tiny chalkboard. He is a prized decor item that I have placed on top of my kitchen cabinets. Yesterday I searched the internet for a short, meaningful phrase to inspire some words to write on the little chalkboard. I wanted something that was to the point - but very inspirational and meaningful.
If you’re a regular reader of my blog, you’ve probably noticed that 2009 has brought a change in me. Thankfully, I am seeing the brighter side of things and am basically just enjoying life a lot more these days. I did lots of “inspirational quote” searching yesterday and finally found the perfect one.
“The waves will keep coming - you might as well learn to surf.”
Isn’t that so true? Little problems, medium sized problems and huge problems will pop up in our lives — we need to learn how to adapt, deal and perservere. But in reality, the magnitude and the impact of problems is all in how we PERCEIVE them and how we let them EFFECT us and in how we RESPOND to them. I am really working on keeping a positive attitude and not let things get to me. When stuff frustrates me or bothers me, I try to pause and really think about moving forward with joy and positive energy.
I loved that the quote involves the ocean. We have truly loved being able to go to the beach here in Florida. We all have a great time and enjoy it so much.
